Indigenous Inspired Jacket

This jacket was inspired by the silhouette of the jackets worn by the men in the indigenous tribes of the Philippines. The cuffs are adored with the Yakan Sinaluan weave which are carefully loomed by the women of the Yakan Tunnan tribe in Basilan in the Mindanao region of the Philippines. The geometric lines are reminiscent of their bamboo trees which signify their strength as a community.

  • Hand embroidered Baybayin phrase: translates to “Sa Wakas” in Tagalog or “At last in English.

  • Note: Outer fabric may differ from order to order due to limited deadstock fabric
